Yes, a fanfiction! I would love to see how that would go! Question though: would it be a serious story with plot, or a crack fic?

A serious story with plot. I think a realistic story involving vigilantism is going to be too cynical and gritty to be a crack fic. Of course provided if I have enough time and motivation to dedicate myself to writing a multi-chaptered story with plot.

Ooh, imagine how fun it would be to come up with his motivations and back story and interactions with everyone around him! He's the only Gosho boy aside from Hakuba who (as far as we know) doesn't live a lie! Personality-wise, he's really different from Kaito and Shinichi, and so I think it would be really interesting see how he deals with his own situation. How would he talk to Kazuha? What would he think while Shinichi solves cases with him? What goes through his head when he gets put on the paper as the famous "Detective of the West"? I hope this can find a place somewhere in your schedule!

What if DCMK characters joined the stamford prison experiment?

Since they're anime/manga protagonists with (presumably) unshakable moral codes, they'd probably do fine.

My question is more centered around the DBoys and Haibara. How would they reacted if Conan was injured or to be more specific, fell in a river? I'm not using when he's shot because they not in a life-death situation. They are chasing a criminal in an abandoned building. So, how would they all react, would they let the criminal escape or would they eventually tell the police? Hope this isn't kinda confusing.

I'd like to help, but first I need some clarification. How does Conan fall into the river? You said they were in an abandoned building, right? Where does the river come in? And in what manner does he fall into the river? It makes a difference if he's injured or thrown off a bridge by someone. Unless the river is really wild because of increased rainfall or something, I really do think that Conan would be able to get himself out of the river.
And Conan tends to run off on his own after bad guys. He doesn't usually irresponsibly send kids off after dangerous criminals. I don't think he would encourage the kids to keep going after the guy.
The answer to your question depends on a lot of undefined variables. What time is it? Is help readily available? Why are they chasing the criminal? What kind of criminal is it? Is the criminal armed? Is Conan's life in danger? Can the Tanteidan reasonably expect to catch up and actually catch this guy?
There are a lot of factors that contribute to the answer, so there's a lot of things you have to think about and decide in order to create a realistic scenario.

Man, I really haven't thought this through yet! Let's just say it's one of those 'seems like simple robbery but it's not' kinda thing that happens when Conan is actively around XD and I'm using my own environment as a base and this whole 'abandoned building next to a river' is actually common in the run down parts of where I live. If anyone can tell me about the more run down parts of Tokyo (every city has these parts, ALWAYS) then I'll be forever grateful. And, it's a DBoys case so, they'll be investigating: Conan and Haibara will know it's dangerous the DBoys won't back down from one of their cases, period. The whole setting isn't clear so I REALLY need the run-down parts of Tokyo info. I hope this helps ya.

Um...well...in my experiences living and working in Japan, it's not really like that at all. I mean...stuff happens in the dead of night, and sometimes robberies do happen, but I can't really say that there's a place in Tokyo where I wouldn't feel safe. Like most bustling Japanese cities, Tokyo doesn't have large "run-down" areas. It's all pretty well maintained with police officers on patrol and cute little koban (a little police box) pretty well spread throughout the city. Japan is a relatively safe country. I mean...my little neighbors were allowed to walk home by themselves after dark, and they were only eight to ten years old.
I'm not saying that there aren't pockets of higher crime areas or certain streets that aren't as well maintained as the rest, but it's definitely not a prevalent thing. I mean there are districts with love hotels and yakuza, but a lot of times things like pachinko parlors are mixed in right alongside perfectly normal places of business like restaurants and bookstores.
If you want something like where you live, you're going to have to make it up. I'd suggest a fictional port or harbor, down by the docks where they unload freight or something. If you make up something like that on the outskirts of town, I think it would be more believable.
It sounds like you really have a lot left to hammer out for the story. Why don't you work on some of the questions I posed in my previous post, and then once you have a better grasp of the basics of your fic, you can come back here and ask for help with any specific questions you have. I think that would be the most helpful to you. Then we can give you precise answers. It seems a little too general at the moment. Good luck!

Thing is, this won't be the most important part of the fic, I'll only concentrate on it for 1 chap and the rest will be mentioning and a flashback or two. I might be using Teimuzu River... And I'm sorry if 'criminal' was confusing! It's more like DBoys case baddies who's WTF at having some elementary grade school kids chasing him...yeah! Maybe I'll use the cover of night and some well mentioned miracle of nobody waking up. It's happened before, right? I'll have to use some references... Anyway, thanks.

To answer your post: Conan's life is in danger, I plan for a heavy tide, the moon and stuff, the DBoys could catch him, poor guy can't believe he threw a kid at a freaking out of control river. They aren't in a Revival-arc like case danger though. The baddie (Tantei Dan criminal) isn't armed, just an ametuer (did I spell it right?) guy who's [read previous post] in all, he isn't a danger by himself , just a fast runner, who somehow tripped exactly when Conan's ball was about to maul him Hope that helped a bit more

Um, I'm gonna cancel it. I just read the original story notes and saw that at first the incident itself wouldn't be even showed and it would be received in vague flashbacks, never actually revealed. I know it's the easy way around, but, as I said, it won't be the main focus and it would be presented in the form of newspapers. PLUS it wasn't even a fall in a river thing...I need to find those again. Well thanks, sorry for wasting your time And I love better the newspapers plan so much more interesting.... [evil laugh] But! How would the DBoys and Haibara grow to be without Conan? As in, missing-very much missed friend who is still a great influence without being there? They are in Teitan highschool. Ages: Haibara -17, Ayumi -16, Mitsuiko-16, Genta- about to be -17. I feel real bad for just leaving you hanging like that (what have I done! I dishonored the Rainbow!) but my I thought I might roll with the original plans before the story spiraled out of control.... Thanks still. Hope you can answer the above, though
