Anyone heard of Story by Ai Carina Uemura? It was basically used for the Japanese Theatrical Trailer for Big Hero 6. I don't know, I think it pretty much encompasses the premise of the whole movie. (Gives me the feels, I tell you!) So, still recovering from sleep deprivation but I ended up getting bored out of my wits today... and decided to record (half-heartedly) a short duet cover of Story by AI (which supposedly replaces Immortals by Fall Out Boys for the Japanese end credits of BH6). For any of you who are daredevils willing to risk 35 seconds of their lives, feel free to have a listen, I guess. Sorry about the double posting. Kind of ended up with a little mishap with the editing of my earlier post so I decided to delete it. soundcloud.com/finnian-donovan/story-ai-cover

Okay, I always knew I was like this song, but I never realized how much until now (although this song is way exaggerated and I'm not mean like that ^^

B'z is one of my favorite Japanese bands (and of course, I discovered them through Detective Conan). Anyway, I was listening to one of the songs they just recently put up on youtube, and I was thinking, the video may be futuristic, but the beginning of this makes me think of country music. The song is called "Uchouten", translated as "Ecstasy":

Oh! I really like the part starting with "Konya" at 1:40. The beginning was cool too, and the video was really interesting. I was kind of meh about the middle. It's hit or miss with me and B'z.

So, ありのままの was stuck in my head, and while youtubing it, I came across a traditional version with traditional Japanese instruments and enka-style singing and all that. The video was really pretty too, so I thought I'd share. I LOVED Elsa's kimono at the end. I want one! It's gorgeous.

Comments comments~ :3 Hmm... B'z is as... B'z as usual. The futuristic theme was superb but the blinking neon lights (especially in that part with the band playing) hurt my eyes I had to look away. It's a different story when I listened to it without watching the MV, though. T'was great As for the enka-version Let it Go. I have nothing more to say other than... OMG CHIIIIILLLLLLLSSSSSSSSSSSSS! That was super coooool! And "Elsa" pulled off that Yuki-onna image...

Okay, so on the Sunflowers of Inferno website was a link to Toho film studio's website. So I thought, why not? and clicked on it. There I found they did non-anime movies and plays as well as anime movies. So I was searching through the plays when I saw Les Misérables. Interested, I clicked on it, and this video of Les Mis's song "One Day More" in Japanese popped up. So I watched it. And I have to say, I absolutely love it! XD I don't know the translation of it at all (other than the English version, which isn't the same as the Japanese since they needed to make sure it rhymed), but I feel like it fits the music perfectly! Anyway, here it is:

Amazing!! They're really good singers. I've been on a Les Miserables craze lately, listening to the soundtrack over and over. (Planning on writing a DC story using Les Mis) This made me smile

Oh, oh, and here's "Do You Hear the People Sing?"! Or rather "民衆の歌" (Minshuu no Uta/The People's Song)

Also I was working on a Les Mis-inspired thing too, haha. Now I'm interested in how different our interpretations will be XD
