Oh wow, have I been on an art spree as of late. I hope I'm not bugging everyone by spamming you guys with all of my art.
I decided that I am going to put all of my Detective Conan/Magic Kaitou Pokemon Trainers Art Collection here, so bare with me because I'm reposting my old stuff and the character info for these characters as they stand in my fan fic: A Journey in Hoenn, before posting the new stuff. The reason I'm reposting is because I didn't put them all in the same thread like I did with the Digimon Collection, so if you've seen these already just scroll past to the end to the new stuff.
Heiji is from Dewford, son of Heizo Hattori, the Dewford's Gym Leader. Heiji grew up around fighting type Pokemon and couldn't wait to become a pokemon trainer himself. His dream is to become an even better Pokemon trainer than his father and one day defeat the Elite Four and become a Pokemon master. He's basically the Ash/Satoshi of my fic. Like his father, he specializes in fighting type pokemon as well as steel and rock types. I haven't decided if I'm going to name his Pokemon or not. If anyone has any ideas on what to name them, please let me know!
Heiji's first pokemon is technically his Makuhita. His father trains a lot of Makuhitas and as a little kid Heiji tried to help out with the training whenever he could. He became attached to one Makuhita in particular and played with it all the time. When it came time to start his journey as a Pokemon Trainer, his parents gifted the Makuhita to him. His Makuhita is fun loving and loves a good fight. Sometimes it can be a little too enthusiastic though and creates problems for Heiji. It loves its food too.
Heiji picks Treecko for his starter Pokemon because he didn't want a cutesy Pokemon like Torchic and Mudkip. Heiji's Treecko is a bit of a mischief maker and doesn't always do what Heiji tells it to, but will listen when it counts like during a match. It doesn't like to loose and is as stubborn as Heiji.
Then there is Heiji's Geodude. Heiji doesn't get his Geodude until he returns to Dewford and is preparing to challenge his father for a gym match. Geodude is probably Heiji's most serious partner pokemon, but like it's trainer, Treecko and Makuhita, it loves a good match and doesn't admit defeat easily. It resisted initially when Heiji tried to catch it, but after seeing Heiji fight alongside his partner pokemon it gained a respect for the trainer and decided to come along. It doesn't like being in it's Pokeball very much though so it's often seen hovering around Heiji, sometimes getting in his way (ouch). It's also very protective of Heiji and their friends.
Heiji meets Kaito and Shinichi in Rustboro City after loosing to it's gym leader (haven't decided if it's going to be Nakamori or Kazuha's dad). They start their friendship hanging out and helping Heiji prepare for his rematch. After Heiji finally wins his first badge the three get mixed up in the Team Magma (or Aqua; again haven't decided) affair with Mr. Stone at Devon. Afterwards Kaito and Shinichi decide to team up with Heiji to help deliver the parts and continue their once individual journeys together.
Shinichi's first Pokemon is his starter, Mudkip, which he gets in Littleroot town from the Pokemon Professor, Professor Agasa. He and Mudkip get along great from the very beginning. Mudkip is a very loyal Pokemon and does what Shinichi tells it to. It has a playful nature and can be very innocent and gullible, sometimes taking some of the things that it's told too literally, much to Kaito's amusement and Shinichi's exasperation.
Shinichi first meets his Ralts when he is traveling to Petalburg City. He and Kaito are camping for the night and are having a good time when Ralts comes investigating where the happy emotions it's sensing are coming from. Kaito and Shinichi's Pokemon discover it, chasing the poor thing into a hole at the base of a tree. Shinichi manages to coax it out of hiding. Ralts is soothed by Shinichi's calm and gentle manner and chooses to become Shinichi's Pokemon. It has a shy timid nature. It doesn't like to fight, and is sensitive to others' emotions so Shinichi never uses it in battles, but Ralts will fight if Shinichi and it's friends are in trouble.
Shinichi's Shroomish is one he catches by accident, but has proven to be one of his toughest and best fighters. Shinichi and Kaito were traveling through the Petalburg Woods after it rained. Shinichi slipped in a patch of muddy turf and dropped his bag, some of his items falling out and scattering around, including a Pokeball that rolled near a curious Shroomish who opened it by accident with it's nose and was captured. Kaito had a good laugh over it when the Shroomish didn't fight to get out and the ball clicked shut. Shinichi's Shroomish is rather stubborn and often intimidates Ralts on purpose, but it won't let any other Pokemon bully the little guy. It listens to Shinichi reasonably well, but only in a battle context. It kinda just does what it pleases for the most part.
Shinichi has known Kaito since they were babies, growing up next door to each other. After they both turn ten they elect to start their journeys together, and share many adventures before returning to Rustboro City for a short visit home where they meet Heiji and begin traveling with him. When the gang meets Saguru Hakuba in Slateport City, Shinichi is the only one who doesn't have an instant initial dislike of the blond when they first meet. Ralts doesn't get nervous or scared around Hakuba, so Shinichi figures the boy can't be as bad as Heiji and Kaito think he is.
ike his cousin, Shinichi Kudo, Kaito Kuroba is also from Rustboro City. His father, Toichi Kuroba, is a celebrated Pokémon Coordinator with many Ribbons and Championships under his belt while his mother, Chikage, is a stay-at-home mother who watches over and practically raised both Kaito and Shinichi by herself. She takes up work at the local primary school after Kaito and Shinichi leave the nest to begin their journeys. Kaito wants to grow up and be a famous Coordinator like his father. While Kaito gains an eclectic selection of Pokémon, he tends to favor bird Pokemon and begins to specializes in flying, and normal types.
Kaito's first Pokemon is his starter: Torchic. He adores his Torchic and it adores him back. It can be a little absent minded but it's a loyal Pokemon and tries its best to please Kaito. It's not much of a fighter at first and can be a little clumsy, but it tries its best and gives its all in battles and in training. It gets along great with Shinichi's Mudkip and both Pokemon tend to take things a little too literally, making it easy for Kaito to joke around with them.
Kaito's Zigzagoon is the very first Pokemon that Kaito catches. This little guy nearly beat Kaito's inexperienced Torchic, but lost in the end and was captured. Zigzagoon is a mischievous little guy and likes to hoard shiny objects, often raiding Kaito and Shinichi's (and later Heiji's) packs for goodies to hold on to. Kaito finds that he has to check the little guy and make sure he's not carrying anything before returning it to its Pokeball. He gets Kaito into a lot of trouble when they're in populated areas with other trainers, so Zigzagoon is more often than not confined to his Pokeball during visits to towns, cities, and gyms. It means no harm with it's thefts, and while it gets Kaito into trouble, it's shenanigans make for great entertainment for Shinichi and Heiji.
Kaito's Taillow is perhaps Kaito's most devoted Pokemon, but was the hardest to catch. Taillow attacked (for reasons yet to be determined) while Kaito and Shinichi are in the Petalburg Woods, beating both Torchic and Shinichi's Mudkip in battle, but it was Kaito's stealthy Zigzagoon that ambushed and weakened Taillow enough to allow Kaito to capture it. In spite of being difficult to capture, Taillow was easy for Kaito to train and quickly become one of his strongest Pokemon in both battle and in Pokemon Contests.
Kaito has known Shinichi since they were babies, having grown up next door to each other and practically raised as brothers my their mothers. Because Shinichi is a month and a half older (Shinichi's birthday being May 4th and Kaito's being June 21st), Kaito made Shinichi promise to wait until they were both ten to visit Dr. Agasa's so that they could start their journeys together, and share many adventures before returning to Rustboro City for a short visit home where they officially meet Heiji and begin traveling with him. When the gang meets Saguru Hakuba in Slateport City at the Pokemon Contest Hall where Kaito hopes to win his first Pokemon Contest, Kaito strongly dislikes him in the beginning because he looses to Saguru who afterwards says something that suggests that Kaito needs to take better care of his Pokémon. Kaito mistakes Saguru's (admittedly poorly delivered) advice for contempt and takes it as an insult. When Kaito later sees how much Saguru cares about Pokemon, his opinion of the blond starts to change.
Hakuba Saguru is originally from Ecruteak City in the Johto region where he lived with both of his parents until their divorce. His father is the Gym Leader in Ecruteak City and his mother is a business woman from Slateport City in Hoenn. After their divorce Saguru moves with his mother to the Hoenn region where she resumes her position in her family's business, which deals with natural herbal and modern medicinal treatments for Pokemon. While growing up in Ecruteak City, Saguru was often bullied and mistreated because he looked foreign (he takes after his mother) and was seen as a scrawny weakling. Because of this, Saguru is a jaded and cold individual around most people, but kind to Pokémon. Saguru has dreams of becoming either a Pokémon Ranger or a healer. His medical knowledge is extensive and he helps Pokémon whenever he can. He knows his herbs and medicinal medicines due to his mother's family business, his upbringing in Ecruteak City and spending so much time with his grandfather, a Sage and Pokémon Researcher. He specializes in fire, ghost and dark type Pokémon.
Saguru's first Pokemon is his Growlithe. Growlithe was a gift from Saguru's father when he was five and is very protective of him. Because Saguru's parents are very busy people and because the other kids his age bullied him, Saguru grew up alone and the only real human contact he had was with his Grandfather and his nanny, Baaya, who would later marry his widower grandfather and become his grandmother when he was eight. Saguru's father gave Growlithe to Saguru as a means to shut the elder Hakuba up about how lonely Saguru was. Growlithe takes his job as Saguru's companion very seriously and sticks by his side. He's loyal and brave and is always ready to fight for Saguru and follow his every command. He's hardly ever in his Pokeball unless Saguru orders him inside (which is practically never). He is Saguru's shadow and, because of the bullying that Saguru suffered at the hands of his peers in Ecruteak, is very mistrusting of others Saguru's age. Heiji swears Growlithe is a demon dog because it's always growling at him.
Even though Saguru is the youngest out of our four main heroes and didn't turn ten until after moving to Hoenn with his mother, Saguru was given Chikorita from Pokemon Professor Layton back in Johto before the move. Saguru's grandfather is an old time friend of the Pokemon Professor in Johto and made special arrangements with both Layton and Agasa to allow Saguru to receive his starter Pokemon early and from the Johto Region, though he was still not allowed to begin his journey until after he turned ten and visited Professor Agasa to receive his official Pokemon Trainer's license and Pokedex. Chikorita immediately took to Saguru, loving him for his gentleness and calm demeanor. It's a cheery Pokemon and loves to play around, the opposite of Growlithe, but the two get along well due to their shared adoration for their trainer. Chikorita practically lives to get Saguru to laugh and smile, feeling very proud when it does so.
Saguru's Eevee is special. It's a shiny. Because Saguru's mother is from Hoenn, he's visited the region many times in the past, especially an Eevee farm where his Uncle Lyle and his wife Kikyo breed Eevees. Soon after Saguru starts his journey as a Pokémon Trainer, he goes to visit the farm on his way back to Slateport. A new litter of Eevees has recently hatched and when he arrives he notices that one is different from the rest. It’s smaller, weak from neglect, and has a shiny coat. The other Eevees and the evolved adults growl and hiss at it whenever it gets near them. The poor little thing is an outcast because it is different. Saguru can relate all too well to the Eevee and asks his uncle for permission to take it with him. His uncle agrees and Saguru spends a couple weeks nursing the baby Pokémon back to health until it’s ready to travel. Like Chikorita, Eevee instantly takes to Saguru, and, like Growlithe, Eevee is determined to protect it’s trainer. Eevee sometimes comes off as spoiled and mean, but it’s really just protective of and loves it’s trainer.

As I've said, I have I been on a drawing spree as of late, that's why I'm back with the DCMK girls for my DCMK Pokemon Trainers collection! Here's a sneak peek at what's to come with Pokemon Trainer Ran! I ended up with a free afternoon today but now it's 1:30 in the morning, and Ran is done! As I did with the boy's when I was drawing them, I'll release a preview of the trainer, and then the final picture with the trainer and 3 of their Pokemon with their background and character info for my Journey in Hoenn fan fic to come! Look forward to it! I should have Ran's done within the next day or so, depending on my work load.

Shinichi Kudo is from Rustboro City. His mother Yukiko was a famous Pokemon Coordinator before marriage and motherhood, but she still occasionally competes or participates as a judge in Pokemon Contests if the mood strikes her. His father, Yuusaku Kudo is a writer and Pokemon Watcher, often leaving on trips with his wife, traveling all over the region to study Pokemon, and leaving Shinichi in the care of his cousin’s family, the Kurobas (yes, Shinichi and Kaito are related in this). After Shinichi starts his journey he participates in Pokemon battles and even fights and wins a couple of gym badges but, like his father, he develops an interest in studying Pokemon more than he does training them and aspires to become a Pokemon Breeder. Shinichi gains an eclectic selection of Pokemon, but he develops a specialty with water, grass and psychic types.
Shinichi's first Pokemon is his starter, Mudkip, which he gets in Littleroot town from the Pokemon Professor, Professor Agasa. He and Mudkip get along great from the very beginning. Even though Saguru has never really connected with either of his parents, Saguru sticks close to Slateport and checks in with his mother from time to time after be begins his journey. She's different after the divorce and their move to Hoenn, and is actually trying to connect with him, which he appreciates since he no longer has his grandfather and Baaya around. He mostly travels the routes between Slateport and his uncle Lyle's Eevee farm, but expands his travels little by little. He takes up Pokemon Coordinating for a while and that's how he first meets Kaito and beats him in a contest. He notices that Kaito's Pokemon are happy, but a little malnourished. He suggests that Kaito should take better care in what he feeds them and his advice is taken the wrong way. He has similar misunderstanding later after a match with Heiji at the Slateport Battle Tent and he tells him that he might want to back off a little on how hard he pushes his Pokemon in a match. Shinichi is the only one that Saguru doesn't really get into any conflicts with and is the first person he befriends. Both share a fascination with Pokemon care and often collaborate on recipes for Pokemon food and the best ways to care for different types of Pokemon.
