Ooooooh! So it's like they shed their skin, but they stay inside the skin until they're ready to break out and be butterflies?! OoO

Exactly XD It's really quite amazing when you think about it. I believe they're a thick liquid for most of the time inside the chrysalis: shifting, morphing, and changing into a butterfly.

You know, I always mix up gin and kin, but now I think I'm gonna remember which is which XD
Okay, besides Gin (which just might be used), what other options are there?

It looks like there are no other options, Natsumi. ^.^; Unfortunately, I can't really think of anything either.
In other news, I got Noiz a hard plastic T-Rex! ...And Eiko stole it. Typical. Sometimes she gives it back, and he really loves it, but... Eiko, why do you have to be so mean? Seriously you're just like your mother when she was little. *Shakes head* Now I know what my mother felt like. It's like I'm raising my own versions of myself and my brother. -.-;

Plus the air is dryer in winter. When I had my bettas it was always hard to keep the levels up this time of year... and it made a much larger difference in the 2.5 gallon tanks than it did in the 20. So just think of it as a humidifier, Starlight. Your fishies are giving up their water to help you stay healthy.

. . . Not even just a normal name?
Wow, Eiko . . . *imagines Noiz's puppy eyes staring at Eiko lying down with the dinosaur between her paws and in her mouth*
I have no experience with fish, so . . .

XD I'm just worried we'll leave for the weekend and when we come back the water level will be low - though that's kinda extreme... I just need to add a full cup of water every day to make up for the water lost, but sometimes i forget ^^;

This morning, as Eiko pushed around Noiz and asserted her dominance, I realized that our little pack is a matriarchal society. I'm the alpha female, Eiko is the beta, and Noiz...poor Noiz is the gamma female. :/ It's okay, my son. I still love you. At least you've got a big, strong name so that the other dogs won't make...fun...of you. Hmm. Wait. Yeah...Boss and Major regularly intimidate Noiz at playtime. Even though Noiz is close to seventy pounds. He's my little tank. ^.^ But Boss is a pit-bull, and Major is a doberman. They're big, powerful dogs too.
Poor Noiz. You have it so hard, my child.
