“The words, pour in drip by drip, gliding over the memory like honey sliding across a tilted canvas; slow enough to make impact and fast enough to not cessate the thread; dancing in oblivion until printed in coherent stretches; making the eyes bleed and hearts yearn, bile rise and brow`s frown. That`s the state of writing; that`s what I want my words to do. Whoever believes that actions speak louder than words, never fathomed the power of words. Cause innocently sequined words innately spark reactions; beyond imagination, beyond bounds and to a much larger audience. What matters is the sincerity in their deliverance. That’s the joy of writing; creation of worlds unknown, of perspectives unheard; of contentment that satiates infinite facets of our sole face. I deep-heartedly acknowledge this blessing, more so, the realization of possessing this, a previously unacknowledged talent.”- mychan1325
Okay~! Here it goes.
My story with DCMK goes long; watched it when young, forget all about it and then, during high school got a sudden craze again (nothing new, I guess most of us here might me similar in this case). In 11th Grade, during finals, I would pretend to be studying while I was catching up on this never-ending anime (this quality is genetic I guess, whole year we will be procrastinating and everything will get interesting and absorbing during exams). That`s when it actually started. Next year, I was eating all of my friend`s heads with the story. Also, somewhere in 2009, I first stumbled on ff.net and since then, I have been reading. Somewhere, along the course I decided that I wanted to start writing too- but ended up starting a journal entry and writing some poetry.
Well~, that was history, currently I am an undergraduate in biomedical science, and will be turning 20 this year (makes me a year younger than Detective Conan).
Almost three months ago, I posted my first fanfic on ff.net. I go by the name my-chan1325 on it. Like most of us (I have
Regarding my writing,I am an extreme amateur, like I can sprout a maximum of 2k+ words a month (I know its very less, just can`t help it. If I push myself, I end up hating it and deleting whatever I wrote). Plus, for some reason dialogues just don`t come to me. They feel very formal and boring (perhaps, a side-effect of writing lots of formal essays and reports). I can do lost of introspective monologues- what you call as rantings and musings, or some third-person non-dialogue story. Long story short, I have a lot of areas to improve in.
I am a huge KaiAo fan, plus all the canon pairings. Doesn`t mean that I wouldn`t read others. A story should be plausible and make the pairing believable. I find (m/m), (f/f) and poly a little difficult to digest, and generally prefer platonic and familial in these cases. For some reason, I am really liking Vermouth and Gin these days (I imagine an amnesiac Gin, fallen into the hands of Shounen Tanteidan, acting like a toddler; sucking his thumb with pigtails and ribbons in his hair, and you can imagine Conan`s reaction~, maybe I can give this idea for prompt exchange *thinks*.)
I am a sucker from inspirational stories, or the ones that give you a 1000 volt of feels- basically, like 'what goes around, comes around', 'kindness repays' or 'your side, my side, and the truth', also a good humor or angst or developing-romance grabs my attention pretty fast. For example, one of my all-time favourites is 'What`s Really Inside'-by Mikauzoran (got me to love Hakuba), and 'Returning the favor'- by Taliya (just shows the 'kindness repays thingie'). There are many more, can`t go on listing. But the thing is, many of you exist in my Favourite Authors or Favourite stories tab in ff.net.
Alas, I hope to have a good time with you all and improve my writing. The current 6-8k: Hero has grabbed my attention, and the plot-bunny is running wild. Let`s see if I can get out 6-8k in a month`s time (Probably will need a beta, if I do it).
Woah, that`s a long intro....
