Is it too much to hope that they actually meant Detective Conan and not Case Closed...? Or they'll include both? ...yeah. XD edit: Forgot to add that yes, I totally agree with the whole more audience thing.

I hope they don't use the English names (since they said "Case Closed"). But then again, on hulu they have the first season on DC but labelled it as Case Closed, and still have the normal names.
Oh, and what about honorifics? Do we know if they'll be doing Ran-neechan/Conan-kun or just Ran/Conan?
Yay, more people watching DC! More people to talk about it with!

I've only used crunchy roll a few times so I don't remember exactly how they do their subs. Are they consistent with names and honorifics or does it depend on the series?
edit: does crunchy roll use IP country blocking? The news article says it'll be available in US and Canada, so is it going be be unaccesible to everyone else who is not? Regardless of the legalities involved, that seems unfair.

They're probably sticking with the "Case Closed" title because of all the legal mush regarding anything with "Conan" in the title.

I'm actually surprised they said "or Great Detective Conan", because even though it literally means that, due to legal things it's usually translated as "Detective Conan"

So I was watching the first DC, or Case Closed, episode on Crunchyroll to test it out. Looks like they use honorifics, which I'm glad about, but the size of the subtitle font surprised me at first. It's big compared to others I've seen.

Crunchyroll has some pretty decently sized subs. I think it's partially because you can also stream onto other devices like tablets, phones, and smart tvs if you have the app.
