What if he was Yuusaku? O.O No, lol, definitely not. Although that thought had once crossed my mind, but it was immediately dispelled. Just a little humor.

Don´t believe it is Toichi... It would kill the whole point of the Kaito being Kaitou Kid. The only reason Kaito became him is to make find out the truths and make Snake pay for what he did. If Toichi is alive, what is the point of him continuing?
As for Yusaku... nope, just can´t imagine him as a magician... -.-

I already said it couldn't be him. Not only the fact that he wouldn't be a magician, but just stealing in the first place.

I think Yusaku would find cosplaying as Kid actually interesting... taking in account his and Yukiko´s strange personality... But no, it´s not him.

I wonder who it really is though . . .
Okay, I know this isn't about Kaitou Corbeau, but what did you think about the very very beginning of this heist? I feel it was a bit sudden/shocking. I mean, we haven't had anything new for Magic Kaito in years, and when we do get something new, Kaito almost gets captured right away. It's like, woah, where'd that come from? I mean, as I was first reading it, when I got to that part, I actually thought "Wait, this is the real chapter, right? It's not like a fanfiction or anything?" while checking to make sure it was really Shounen Sunday that I was holding in my hands.

XD can agree to it, nikudounatsumi. It was too sudden. but at least we got a chapter, so I am happy with that...

Yup! And despite the suddenness of it, it was interesting. I mean, he actually almost got captured. That was the closest call I remember seeing him in. Although when he says "No, I'm not Kid!", when I think of it the actual Japanese way he says it, I keep accidentally thinking "boku" instead of "watashi". They mean the same thing and I feel like it sounds better as "Chigau! Boku wa kiddo janai!" rather than "Chigau! Watashi wa kiddo janai!". But hey, maybe it was part of the personality of the person he was disguising as to say watashi instead of boku.

I believe "Boku" would suit him more. He has a rather strong character, both as Kid and as Kaito, and "watashi" sounds a little... I don´t know, normal? I believe "boku" should be used by strong characters, specially boys, leaving "watashi" to girls. Not to mention it would be fun, since "boku" could be used sometimes as equivalents to kid... "No, Kid is not Kid." XD (Now that I think about it, Kid really isn´t Kid, because Kid is actually Kaito and his dad... the legacy of Kuroba family. Therefore, Kid ins´t Kid, he´s Kuroba) - you may ignore this part. I believe I am sleep-writing.

I thought he'd be more of an ore guy when talking casually, but boku to strangers. I don't think boku is particularly strong, yeah it's more masculine than watashi but it's still polite form. And depending on the person he's impersonating it could be anything, it could be atashi, washi, etc too. xD

Yeah, it's probably because of the person he's disguised as. I'll always think of it as "Boku wa kiddo janai!" though. Anyway, we should probably get back on track with Kaitou Corbeau . . . I wonder which "I" he uses?

I don´t like ore. It can sound arrogant in some situations. It would suit him, surely, but still... Some people can pull off ore, Kaito and Shinichi can, while others look dumb and arrogant.

Corbeau probably uses watashi, but I could be wrong. Hehe I'm pretty sure Toichi used watashi sometimes. I didn't pay close enough attention during his appearances though, so correct me if I'm wrong.

Crimson: I have no idea what Toichi uses. I've never paid attention.
Kaggami: "It can sound arrogant in some situations". You completely reminded me of an anime my sister watches in which one of the characters always calls himself *imitatingly puts hand on chest and raises eyes skyward* "Ore-sama".
Speaking of ore, when Kaito first sees Corbeau and says "A black me?", he actually uses ore, saying "Kuroi . . . ore?" *quickly flips through the first chapter of Midnight Crow* But he doesn't use any "I" in the first chapter other than that since it's usually implied, so I don't know if he uses anything other than that.

When Kaito saw Corbeau, he was surprised. That said, it´s possible he actually used Ore, but for others he uses another version of I. My hypothesis rests on the fact his poker face broke for a moment, and his true thoughts were exposed.
-If I ever see or hear someone use ore-sama, my fist will connect with their ugly face in a beautiful and painful method.
