Okay, I missed the Christmas exchange due to being away, so I have to do this one! This one sounds interesting, the stories could really go in any direction with these prompts....

Come on! Work with me brain! About a week until the deadline, not even half done. Sighs. My muse has been keeping me up at night for days now, but then it doesn't cooperate when I try to type it out...
Anyways, count me in for the contest! I'll have an entry in, whether it's decently good or horridly bad.

I'm trying this out, though I feel Christmas is going to take up a lot of time and concentration. It's possible I'll miss deadline but post later anyway.

Time's up, and the winner is ichthyophobia! Congrats! I really liked your piece. You need to write more fics involving Hakuba. You know. Just because they amuse me. ^.^ Again, congrats! If you want to let me know about the next theme and optional prompts, that would be great. I think I won't be starting the next comp until Sunday the 17 because that's closer to the fifteenth of the month. I think starting on the tenth would be a little early. ^.^;
And thanks so much to all of our participants and voters! I was so glad that we had enough entries for a vote.

Congratulations ichthyophobia! And big thanks to whoever voted for me - between ichthyophobia and Taliya, I didn't think I was going to get any votes at all!
Now I wonder what the next contest theme will be...

I second what Mikau said, ichthy, about Hakuba! I enjoyed your story as well. Congrats! ^_^

See? Quincy agrees. Now you have to write more Hakuba. ^.~
Anyway. Ichthy, have you decided on the next theme and prompts yet? You've still got time since the contest doesn't open until Sunday, but just let me know. Thanks!

Thanks all! Glad people liked it. Sorry it's taken me a while to come up with a new theme; I had a couple ideas and couldn't decide on one. That said, here's what I've come up with: The next theme is Luck, with optional prompts of Charmed, Bad Luck, and Superstitions. Hopefully everyone likes that one!

It's beautiful! I love the blue and white color combination, and the detail on the dancing men is spot on. ...Ichthy, are those the actual dancing men from Sherlock? It's been a while since I've seen them. Do the men on the badge spell out anything? That would be awesome.

Yes! Those are the actual dancing men from the story - with a few additions, since the story didn't cover the whole alphabet. I found a dancing men font. The text reads "poirot cafe themed writing contest number nineteen untraceable." Which is not the most creative thing I could've had them say, I guess, but it worked out.
