Hello everyone! Looking for a way to hone your writing skills, get to know your characters better, and beat writer's block? My recommendation is five sentence stories. It's very simple and yet challenging. The idea is to tell an entire story in just five sentences. This makes you consider word choice to make the most of each word. It also helps you to weed out all the unnecessary gobbledygook. Usually what gets written is only a scene, but you'd be surprised how much you can convey in just five sentences. You can see some examples here: www.fanfiction.net/s/11118854/1/Just-Passing-ThroughBasically, the way I do it is start with a single-word prompt and go from there. You can find a random word generator here: creativitygames.net/random-word-generator/randomwords/1Happy writing!

After randomly being inspired by various Disney songs, I decided to give this a try. So, here is my collection of five-sentence fics.

I'd only want to post these in batches of 5 or so on FF, so until then, have a quickie.

Sera glanced across Hakuba's plate, making sure that she didn't roll her eyes too visibly at the boiled egg, and the thin fingers of toast.
"Hakuba, don't you think you're just a little bit old for having soldiers with your egg?" Sera practically sighed.
Said blonde returned from picking up the newspaper outside with a smile that could probably rival Kaito's, "Absolutely not", before beginning the ritual decapitation of the egg.
Sera grabbed her flask of coffee with an "If you insist" as she headed to leave, however before Sera could leave the house, she was interrupted by a bellowing "NOOOOOOOOOoooooooo!"
Quickly looking back over her shoulder, Sera had to contain a laugh, as she could see Hakuba practically pouting, prodding the egg which, rather than staying as a liquid on the inside and therefore dunkable in, had solidified completely.
