So, I'm finally up-to-date with the manga, and now aware of the 'Scarlet' chapters (which fried my brain so many times, it was such a sweet ride... I can't wait to see this getting animated.)
I wanted to ask about your guys' opinion on something. I didn't even catch it when I was reading it for the first time (because I was too shocked with everything else going on), but then a friend of mine pointed it out to me yesterday and it made my blood run cold. I'm talking about the 3rd panel on this page:

Remember how we were suspicious of Camel during the whole arc with Kir in the hospital? And how it later turned out that he was indeed one of the good guys?
He said that he wasn't even in Japan at the time.
I.
Uh.
Has this been adressed anywhere else or explained in any way and I've missed something? Because from what I understand, the only logical option for this is... that it was Bourbon disguised as Camel back at the time (because Vermouth was there on her motorcycle when the BO members were trying to retrieve Kir from the truck.) That would mean Bourbon knew about Akai being alive all along, but he didn't want the BO to know that he was dressed up as Camel in the first place, so he acted like he didn't know about it and tried to arrange everything so that he'd find about it 'officially,' as himself. Hence why the whole thing he set up together with Vermouth, in order to get that information out of Jodie and the 'real' Camel.
Remember Camel's awesome driving skills, when he drove together with Jodie to get rid of one of the bombs? Now look back to the 'Detectives' Nocturne' episodes and Bourbon's driving maneuvers there. It all fits.
That would also mean that Bourbon knows who Kir really is. But considering who Bourbon really is himself, it would also make sense for him to cover her.
Also, is it just me, or does anyone else get the feeling that Vermouth knows that Akai is alive (that suggestive smile during one of her conversations with Bourbon in the car), but for some reason tries to keep it a secret from the BO, too?
