Things have been a bit slow lately, so I thought I'd try and pick things up a bit between stories by starting a thread dedicated to stuff outside of anime and manga in general and Conan in particular. The idea is if there's a show or series you'd like to toss out there, this is the place to do it. I've done a couple similar threads but those were dedicated to specific series, this one's for anything that's caught your fancy lately. To start things off, I'm goign to recommend a webcomic and a podcast:
The webcomic is a Magical Girl story called Sleepless Domain:

First Comic: www.sleeplessdomain.com/comic/chapter-1-cover
Sleepless Domain is a webcomic by Mary Cagle, author of Kiwi Blitz and Let's Speak English, which I also recommend.
The city is under constant attack by monsters. By day, a barrier keeps the city safe. At night, however, the barrier shuts down to reset and the city's main line of defense are Magical Girls who fight evil by moonlight.
Team Alchemical is a group of such girls. They have their problems, such as arguing over which of them should be leader, but are true companions nonetheless. However, on one fateful night, tragedy befalls Team Alchemical and one member, "Alchemical Water" Undine, is determined to find out just what happened and why.
Even if that means she has to do it alone.
The podcast is a very different creature and absolutely not one for the easily offended.

The Last Podcast on the Left is a True Crime podcast hosted by Ben Kissel, Marcus Parks, and Henry Zabrowski. Their true crime episodes frequently focus on serial killers (from the big names like Ted Bundy to the more obscure like Pee-Wee Gaskins) they also discuss cults, conspiracy theories, cryptids hauntings, and various occult phenomena. While doing so, they treat the people involved, the killers, the fanatics, the con artists, and so on with all the respect they feel they deserve: None whatsoever. The result is a show that can describe the horrible acts of the BTK killer one moment and the next crack jokes about how the cops who were failing to track him down were nicknamed the Hot Dog Squad.
That said, their info is pretty good. I'm personally more fond of the episodes focused on serial killers and cults (L Ron Hubbard and Scientology and Japanese cult Aum Shinrikyo are among my favorites) then I am their episodes on various conspiracy theories (Dulce Air Force Base and Roswell), mostly because they get a little too into the conspiracy stuff that I can't quite tell where factual information ends and actual conspiracy thinking begins.
As of this post, their current episodes are focused on Mark David Chapman, the man who shot John Lennon.
A preview featuring the creation of a recurring character of theirs: Detective Popcorn
Those are two things I've been following lately. Anyone else have something they enjoy and want to suggest?
