Question in light of rule #4: If I began a story recently, but it fits the topic, can I use it for the topic if finished in time?

Unfortunately, all writing has to be done within the contest period. You could use the idea, but not anything you’d written before the contest opened.

I think I could work around that. I don't have too much done. Though I might end up rewriting some of it, I'll start over from scratch at any rate.
EDIT: My story is coming along, but it's not going to be ready in time for tomorrow's deadline.

Anyone else for theme and prompt suggestions? I’ll start a vote tomorrow after I get home from work.
