I've taken a big step this weekend. Along with two friends moving back to Idaho after spending a couple years in Portland, OR we're going in together on a house in Meridian, ID.
We signed the lease on Sunday and can officially move in on November first. We likely won't move in right away. Them because they planned on holding off on the full move until after the holidays, though with trips planned to move things over now and again. Me because this all happened a bit fast and I need to start getting things ready to move.
I'm both excited and a little scared at all this. I worry about my ability to keep up my end of things financially, and this will be my first time living technically on my own with all of us in equal ground re: living in the home, as opposed to renting from family or a friend. But getting out on my own is something I've wanted to do for a long long time, so I decided it was time to take the plunge, come what may.
I'm not sure what will from all this, but I'll never know unless I dive in and try.

Good for you, sgamer! Congratulations! That's awesome that you're setting out on your own. It really is a big step, and it can be a little scary, but you'll do just fine. You're a sensible, responsible guy, and you've got your stuff together, so it'll work out. If worst comes to worst, you've got friends and a family that loves you. You won't be alone, even though your heading out on your own.
Only start to worry when it actually looks like bad stuff is going to happen and focus instead on this exciting new time in your life.
...says the hypocrite who worries about everything. ^.^; But hey, do as I say, not as I do? ^.~
