Just something that randomly came to my mind, not sure if it's a stupid question: do all the police members we know work in the same building? Because there are different divisions and ranks and right now I see it's logical for them all to be in the same building, just in different floors. It's just that for some reason I always imagined the second division working on a different building (in Ekoda) from where Megure, Sato and the others work (Beika), but I guess this makes more sense, wherever it is located. Then again I feel like there was more then one building and they used the car in some episode to move from one building to another, but I can't remember properly. If they do work in the same building wouldn't that mean they would see each other more often offscreen? Has something like this, them interacting casually buying coffee or something been shown before in the manga/anime?
In my current fic the police take a main role so I'd love your help with this!

To be totally clear, what's shown in both anime for both crews is the Keishichou building in Kasumigaseki, the bureaucratic area of Chiyoda-ku. It is the main HQ of the Tokyo Met force and basically rules over the local stations, the koban/police huts, and so on. A link to the Wikipedia article's photograph of the Keishichou, for comparison to the anime art: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/20/Keishicho.jpgIts page source of the now-deleted English part of the website also provides a full translated list of ranks and a flow chart of the structure of the organisation: www.webcitation.org/65U3tTSY3
