Daily Random Word Prompts, where I'll be posting my stories based on these prompts. I still plan on doing Paranoia of course (and now Idiot has been added to the list), but Pill was the first one that came out. Sorry Kaggami, I didn't realize you were doing it as well, but this is one is very different from yours other than the fact that it's the same pill.
Well, it's not my best work but . . . here you go:

Pill
Summary: He didn't mean to take the wrong pill.
“Aaachoo!” Kaito sneezed, lying miserably on the bed of a certain mansion in Beika with the nameplate of “Kudou”. He and Conan were planning on discussing the Black Organization tomorrow after discovering something new about the most recent member Kir had told them about. In the meantime, Kaito was spending the night at Shinichi’s house where Conan - who was still sleeping at the Mouri Detective Agency - would meet him in the morning. Unfortunately, Kaito had caught a cold the day before which quickly turned into a fever.
Kaito glanced at the clock next to the bed: 1:54 am. His eyes slid to stare at the ceiling. It was obvious he wasn’t getting sleep at this rate. He took a deep breath and climbed out of bed. He considered calling Tantei-kun to ask where he kept the sleeping pills in this house, but decided it was much too late, or early, for that. He had to look for the sleeping pills himself, wherever they might be.
The phantom thief slowly traveled down the stairs, wincing as a painful scratchiness made itself known in the back of his throat every time he breathed. A drink wouldn’t be a bad idea either.
He traversed the house until he finally reached the kitchen. He had to go through three different cabinets before he found the cups. Kaito reached up to grab one and brought it over to the sink. As he was filling it up, his eyes caught sight of a pill bottle to the right of the sink. He was too tired to read most of it, but part of the label read “sleeping pills”. Perfect, he thought.
Kaito opened the lid and felt around for one of the little red and white objects. Without hesitation, he threw it in his mouth, drank the water, and closed the lid. Deciding that it would be wise to take the cup of water up with him, he started the journey back up the stairs.
As he trudged up the mini mountains, he felt as if his fever was getting steadily worse. He attributed it to the sleeping pills starting to work. He took a couple more steps and his temperature seemed to rise. His breathing quickened and his vision started to blur. He felt like just collapsing on the stairs and falling asleep there, but knowing that it wouldn’t help in the morning, he encouraged himself to make it to the bed.
A sigh of relief escaped him when he pulled his feet onto the second floor after what seemed like an hour, but he still had to endure enough to get to the bed, or at least the bedroom. Somehow, he managed to drag himself to the door, but suddenly a pain in his chest made him double over and he collapsed onto the bed, the cup of water spilling all over the sheets, and immediately passed out.
Kaito’s world was collapsing when he groaned and peeled his eyes open to discover that Tantei-kun was trying to shake him awake. There were three things Kaito noticed after he woke up. First: The shrunken detective had a very panicked look on his face. Second: He realized that he no longer had a fever or even just a cold anymore. And then the third . . . Suddenly he understood why Tantei-kun’s face was so panicked, and his own face reflected that expression.
“AH!” he exclaimed, shocked. “Wh-wh-wh-wh-”
“Kaito, calm down!” Conan yelled, relieved now that he knew the phantom thief hadn’t died.
“What happened?!” Kaito asked, staring down at his now-shrunken body that was too small for his clothes.
Conan ran his hand through his hair. “You don’t know? I was wondering that myself! Okay, calm down,” he told himself as he slowly exhaled. “Did anything happen last night?”
“Not that I’m aware of,” Kaito responded, looking at the other shrunken teen while allowing his poker face to hide how panicked he still was. “Oh, wait! It’s not much, but I got up in the middle of the night to find some sleeping pills because my fever prevented me from sleep. And then I found some in a labelled pill bottle next to the sink . . . . . . Don’t tell me-!”
Conan brought his hand to his forehead in a facepalming gesture. “Haibara, you’ll pay for this . . .”
“What?”
“Haibara had kept the Apotoxin 4869 pills she somehow obtained in a spare sleeping pill container and was keeping them in my house for the time being . . .”
“Ehhh?!”
“Well,” Conan sighed, “looks like we’re in this together now.”
Sorry, Kaito. As soon as I saw the word "pill" I couldn't resist.
