But maybe can pull of the jakarta slang. Though, our malay and Indonesia not many different the words. Imaginator. I'm more to a soup person. So, I like the bakso.

It is! We're here sometimes using malay accent while speaking in indonesian~ (And thanks to UpinIpin animation now everybody uses that accent... :'D) so, do u use english in daily life? imaginatorName what?? It is. they're extinct animals that protected in a small island in the east-side of Indonesia. We usually think of it as a mascot tho... wwwww I don't really like animals (i'm afraid of them in reality...) but I do like the idea of Komodo as our country's mascot. It's like saying 'Hey, I have a living miniversion of dinosaur in my place' wwww Btw, to answer ur question.. our food use so many seasoning. Natural one. just like foods from India. And in different part of Indonesia we use different kind of seasoning-characteristics. In Sumatra and Kalimantan are more the spicy type while in Java(my place) is a place for less-spicy(and sometimes sweet) foods. Java also serves spicy food but you need to get extra chili we call 'sambal'~XD

Banana, I think you mean that they're endangered animals? Extinct means that they've all died already, like the dinosaurs. Oh! Speaking of komodo dragons, I love this picture that I saw on google images XD Komodo dragon

If I see a komodo dragon, i'm sure will run screaming. Sigh~~~ Bananavora, yup. In my daily life, English and malay is the same level. If you don't know English, it's hard for you to communicate and understand things. But still, everyone in Malaysia even Chinese, Indian and sabahan and sarawakian understand malay

Bananavora: Yeah they are endangered, that's what Animal planet shows each and every day about their decreasing population..and knowing about these animals like others, I feel extremely sad that humans for their greed depleting their lives on earth (And this's what I get into when start talking about animals, 'cause I'm a freaking fauna lover, he he!) I don't know but is the Komodo a living fossil, like the crocodile for million years?? And that foodie answer..I'm already getting enthusiastic about tasting Indonesian food, since you told it has got so many seasoning, and I'm always looking forward for different flavours on my taste buds!!
Holyfa: Oh I agree also, since I don't converse anywhere in English, but in this site only, it's sometime difficult, though this can eventually help in future, I guess.. And is Bakso a Malayasian food also? Before I forget..was there any such festival in your country..like throwing water on others, that you people celebrate??

I hope I can survive when i'm visiting ur place. Last time I went to Singapore I need to combine Malay, Chinese, and English.... and there's one time where I had to use English in Indonesian Grammar to a shopkeeper (I don't even know I could do that..) Thanks Nikudou Natsumi :') I've been searching for the correct words for it but got stuck ;; imaginatorYes! Endangered! That's the wordddddd ;; I'm not sure what does this 'living fossils' mean but so far I see Komodo as a lizard with more dark pigment on its skin.. ;; Last time I described Indonesian food to a Japanese, she also said I made her drooling and want to taste the spicy food Maybe I should try becoming a culinary travel-guide XD Fyi, Bakso = meatballs. In here we serve Bakso with chicken soup and noodle/glassnoodle, then add some chili/tomato sauce and soy-sauce. (I'm sorry I keep on interfering your conv with Holyfa) *bow* *bow*

Holyfa: In details-on 15 th of April, we had our own new year, and for that occasion, in a newspaper I read on this similar day Malaysian people throw water on each other, and the picture I saw kinda reminded me The Ice Bucket Challenge.. Bananavora: Sometimes three way conersation is more fun than twosome!! And what I am even doing here, I mean I came here to fix writing problems by asking suggestions, now I ended up being talking about food!! On no, these four-letter word makes me drool, even when I lost appetite. It's my Dream To become like Ratatoiulle (I know the name's incorrect, sorreeey!) and taste food from all parts of the world..

I didn't know about Aqsa and Madina, but I dooooo remember Bawang Merah and Bawang Putih one! I watched it because the cast were so pretty and they're really popular in that era :') Do Sinetrons broadcasted 'normally' or do u need to subscribe to any tv cables? Imaginator: I know how that feels ;; I also want to taste foods from all over the world (especially after I watched this tv programs about a man travels around America to taste many kinds of food trucks' snacks!) But I have several things I don't eat so right now the only thing I want is: TO TASTE BANANA FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD... That's all

Windbristle: Zero homework.. Why didn't this thing happened when I was in school!?? Way too lucky, but how the Chinese teachers are killing you? BTW, welcome back to this forum after a long time, we missed you.. Holyfa: Okay, that 'tradition' came from Thailand? Then that newspaper lied I guess? But being foodie doesn't help me, 'cause everytime I have to hear gulping so much food is bad, that's the reason I'm that obese..sometimes my ears get burned..phew! Bananavora: That's the cause your penname's this..mmh! Me too, constantly I play these TV shows where innumerable ways the Chefs make foods. I also agree. Like I'm a complete vegeterian, except occasionally I dig in egg preparations. And I forgot to explain before, 'Living Fossils' means an animal which haven't evolved over the past million years, like I said about crocodile!
