I think the first one is a little more subdued because it comes after the feathers and the stain. Still decorative, but not as pronounced because the line is read with kind of a falling intonation at the end. The first you isn't stressed.
But then the second you is more like "I don't want YOU (oh holy, heavenly, glorious goddess of my religion) to become tainted."
The first one is still important and cherished, but the second one is deified. Does that make sense?

So maybe just a little heart as the o in the first you and then go all out with the bedazzlement on the second one?

. . . *facepalms* I already colored and inked the first one *sighs* I guess cuz the only description of the "you" was right after the stain . . . *sighs again*

::conan_oi_sigh_s_by_crimson_amarone-d8h0e3o:: I guess both "you"s will be just as pronounced . . . Although the second "you" doesn't have as much room around it. I'll try to make it more pronounced anyway, but not overkill . . .

^o^ Thank you so much, Natsumi! That really means a lot to me! Oh, I never expressly said the name of the poem, but it's "Tainted". And, sadly, no, Faliara. I've always been a very busy person. I gave up everything but writing the second year of college (my first time through). I had three majors: Japanese, Spanish, and East Asian Studies, I studied abroad in four different countries (during which I had internships teaching English in both Japan and Costa Rica), had a part-time job tutoring Japanese and Spanish when I was State side, was a part of the honors program, and finished my Senior Honors Thesis one year early so that I could spend the rest of my senior year in Japan, so...yeah. I picked writing. And then after I graduated, I got a job and went back to college to get my paralegal certification. And then I adopted two puppies, got my certification in December, and started working 50 hours a week (including commute) in January of this year. So that's pretty much everything I've been doing since I graduated from high school in 2008. I reiterate: I'm busy, so, no, unfortunately, I can't do both. I could dabble in both, but if you're really going to excel in something, you have to devote a lot of time to it. So I've devoted myself to becoming a writer. It's just a question of level of dedication. I don't fault other people who do many things, but, for me, I want to be the best I can be at something, and I'm only able to do that in one subject area. Huh... I can't imagine giving up one for the other (maybe because I'm still in school?) But... That's certainly something I can admire.
