Kon'nichiwa, minna-san!
I'm a devote (or obsessed?) Detective Conan fan (even going so far as to watch all the non-canon anime cases that aren't in the manga) ^-^ Although I can never decide whether Shinichi/Conan or Kaito/Kid is my favorite character . . . Maa ikka.
I'm in the midst of learning Japanese, mainly so I can watch anime in Japanese without subtitles (and not having to worry about mis-translations), so don't be surprised if I mix some Japanese phrases in when I talk. Usually I'll provide a translation though, such as how the "maa ikka" above means "oh well".
Anyway, I actually have two accounts on fanfiction. The first is Mangaka Sapphire N (I have two pen names, Sapphire Nightshade and Nikudou Natsumi). The second is Detectivewriters (yes, with an "s". It was originally meant to be shared between me and my cowriter). Under Detectivewriters I have two stories, both DC: "Ran's New Life (Continued)" (this was an adopted story, and is finished) and "Shinichi's Return" (ongoing). Under Mangaka Sapphire N, I have 3 DC stories: "The Phantom Thief Race" (finished, crossover with DN Angel), "Conan Suspected" (hiatus, chp 13-16 will eventually be replaced due to big out-of-character mistakes on my part), and "Unexpected Murder" (hiatus, crossover with Psychic Detective Yakumo/Shinrei Tantei Yakumo). Unfortunately most of my stories are on hiatus due to me working on Shinichi's Return. Hopefully I'll be able to come up with a good ending for it soon so I can finally work on my other stories - mainly Conan Suspected.

Welcome! Glad you decided to join. I like your avatar, it's quite fitting. It seems like lots of fans are interesting in learning Japanese. I've been going pretty slowly with it myself. Wonder if we should start an thread for Japanese study on the off-topic board? Ah, I didn't realize you had another account on FFnet. I'll have to let Kitsoa know too so we're not pestering you again, heh (she is inviting members along with me). It's hard for me to get around to reading everyone's work with how busy I get, but if there's any specific stories you (or anyone) want some feedback on, feel free to ask.

^_^ thanks! I had a hard time deciding what with how many Detective Conan pictures I have, but I decided that one was my favorite. And it's a bonus since if you look very closely and turn the picture upside down, you can see that what Conan is reading is actually Detective Conan That would be interesting I'm just starting to learn kanji now. I'm only in the numbers, and I wonder how I'm gonna be able to remember what goes with what when I get to the more complicated kanji. I'm still confused on when to use "ni" and when to use "fu-" for the kanji for 2. It's alright Okay, I will ;D

Hello I have also been trying to learn Japanese... Currently I can count to 100 XD My biggest achievement so far, not counting the many words and phrases I learned from watching anime. At least when I go to Japan, I can introduce myself properly I haven´t read your stories, I believe, but maybe I´ll give it a try later. They sound interesting.

I'm starting to learn more complicated sentence structures and things. I got into Japanese by watching anime, but to learn quicker, I'm also learning through the workbook series "Japanese from Zero!". It's funny how sometimes in the "new words" or "new phrases" section, there are words that I already know due to anime such as just recently, they had the phrase for be careful: ki wo tsukete. Well, now I know how to spell it Thanks ^_^ If you want to know the summaries of any of them, I can gladly tell you what they are.
