Instead of posting each picture individually I'm going to post them all under this one Thread. That was probably really annoying with my Pokemon Trainer Project and I promise I'll do this from now on to save space and headaches. XD Ok, I'm kind of backtracking a bit, and am returning to my DCMK DigiDestined Project to do the girls, and then I'll do them again as Pokemon Trainers to finish that project. But just to remind everybody, here's the boys with their Digimon partners: Hakuba & Hawkmon, Kaito & Patamon, Shinichi & Kudamon, and Hattori & Veemon Now on to the girls. Ran was surprisingly easy to do. Or maybe I'm just getting better at drawing DCMK characters on my computer. I kind of did things differently when figuring out who to partner the girls up with, because unlike the plethora of potential partners for the boys there are only a few girl DigiDestined in contrast with the boys and therefore even fewer female-oriented partners (since Yolei and Jeri had "male" partners and I'm too lazy to look up and do thorough research on an external variety of potential Digimon partners). Basically what I did was list the girls and then made a list of "female" Digimon and matched them up from there. For Ran I chose Salamon for her Digimon partner. If anyone in the DCMK-verse is a parallel to Kari it's Ran. Vermouth even calls/refers to her as "Angel". She would definitely be given the Crest of Light in my opinion if the DC gang were an alternate reality version of Digimon Adventure. Unlike Kari, though, in my headcanon Ran's Salamon would have a slightly different DigiVolution line: Salamon - D'Arcmon - Angewomon - Ophanimon. I kind of find it funny though that in my DigiDestined DCMK gang headcanon, that both Ran and Shinichi have been given the smallest Rookie Digimon. XD Kazuha is next. Look forward to seeing her and her Digimon Partner!

Ran looks nice. She actually looks a lot like the original XD
Are you going to write a story about this, or just creating the characters?

I don't know. I have so many fan fiction projects already, including the Pokemon fic A Journey in Hoenn, but I definitely have been thinking about it and have jotted down some ideas for a fan fic. If I get enough to form a story I'll certainly give it a shot.

She is really cute! I think you did a great job for all of the DC-characters. I'm not so firm with Digimon (or Pokemon for that matter) but I like how you combined the DC and the Digimon-stlye so that everything fits (Same goes for the Pokemon of course). So keep it up! I'd like to see the other girls

And here is Kazuha! For her I chose Palmon, not because I think she's like Mimi in any way, but because I think Palmon makes a good partner for her and that she would have the Crest of Sincerity if the DCMK gang were to take the place of the Adventures cast. While Ran, Aoko and Kazuha are all Tom-Boy girls I think that Kazuha with her Aikidou would be the most likely to have a partner that digivolves into a cactus boxer. XD Not much to say, I know, but this partnership just seemed right to me.

man... makes me wish i watched digimon!!!! i want to make a comment about what you say about the creation of these pictures, but i honestly just don't know enough to say anything... well, i can at least admire your drawings! the shading, especially with the hair, look extremely gosho style, as usual! i think someone learned the move "perfect copy"! but the way you draw them in a way that fits how you want to use the characters is probably the best part! everyone looks amazing and the digimon look awesome! how did you learn to do this so well on a computer? do you use a tablet?

Nikudou Natsumi - Thanks. Kazuha was easy to draw compared to Ran because I didn't have to improvise her entire outfit! The picture of Ran that I used as a model and reference was of her in her school uniform and I was so afraid of how it was going to turn out. assasin8 - Haha! You should. It's a great show. Both the Japanese and English Dub versions of the first Digimon season are on Netflix instant now! I'm glad you like my drawings. People are so hard to draw! The Digimon and Pokemon are easy in comparison. It's the eyes that get me every time. Heiji is the only one of the boys that I don't have any issues with in regards to his eyes, but the other three...especially Hakuba (who is my favorite character)... Gawd! I feel the itch to redo their eyes now that I've returned to this project, but I can't think of how to fix them without messing up the rest of their faces. So far there have been no problems with the girls eyes though I wonder... maybe it's because their eyes are bigger and it's more space for me to work with and adjust... Hmm... -sigh- Funny enough, I'm not altering the DCMK character to reflect the Digimon anime style like I am doing with my pokemon project, so it's not a coincidence that they appear to be in Gosho Aoyama's original style, because they were drawn that way. And no, I don't use a tablet and I'm self-taught on the computer. I use GIMP software on my MacBook Pro. What I do is more tracing than actual drawing (my actual hand-drawing skills are mediocre at best and don't turn out nearly as good as my computer renderings), but, like I mentioned above in my response to nikudounatsumi, I tend to improvise if I don't care for the outfit the character in the model picture is wearing. I use the model pictures more for the poses than anything because I need a base to work off of. I do this a lot in my Pokemon Project drawings, and have had to do it many times when I draw Saguru Hakuba simply because he's had so few appearances. Shinichi is actually used as my model a lot of the time for Hakuba when I need one. Maybe I should post a comparison picture some time for some of these.

I think the style matches good when you don't think about how it's two different series so much. The thing about digimon human character design though is usually the more distinctive clothing styles. A lot of characters wear those big gloves, the main character always has big goggles, etc. each season has a slightly different look though where the first seasons were more average and then season three got a little more street style to it. Stuff like that.

And we have Aoko! I chose Biyomon to be her partner for many reasons. Like with Kazuha and Palmon, I thought that Aoko and Biyomon made the most sense as a team. Aoko has a big heart and there is no doubt in my mind that she'd hold the crest of Love in Digimon. She's a Tom-boy like Sora was in the first season of Digimon and the way Aoko goes after Kaito with her mop, I'd say she'd got the passion that goes hand in hand with having a fire-bird for a partner.

Aoko is fantastic! it's cool how there's someone who parallels with everyone here! But I'm surprised you use GIMP! That was the first editing program I ever used! (I really failed at coloring with it though...) Seriously, HOW DO YOU DO THIS?!?! Self teaching goes a long way... Again, the drawing and coloring are amazing as always, but then, is there anyone else coming?

Thank you! GIMP is the only program that I'm familiar with. As for how I draw on it... I can try a tutorial thing... And yes there are a few more to come. Akako is next. ^_^
