Hello everyone! My name is 96hani (pronounced; ku-ro-ha-ni, which I'm pretty all - or at least most - of you know means Black Criminal). Some of you may know me as Mai-chan63 on FF.net though I really liked this name, and yes it is based on 96neko's name, because I absolutely adore her!! Her voice and her looks are so amazing ^_^ So a bit about me; I am a seventeen (almost eighteen!!) year old girl, who loves reading, writing, and watching anime I also do a bit of drawing and video editing, but my main focus lies on writing. I'm still working on it and since English is not my native language, there might be some grammar/spelling mistakes in my stories and posts. I'm in my last year of high school, so I'm not entirely sure how active I'm going to be on this forum. Also this is the first time I joined one ='.'= So please go easy on my in case I do something wrong! ^^ I think that should be about it ^^ If you've got any questions, feel free to ask!

MAI-CHAN! Hello and welcome! I hope you enjoy the forum. We're doing a lot of cool stuff, and it's fun to be able to just talk with other DCMK writers more than just through reviews and replied like on ff.net. Anyway, welcome again, and I hope you have fun!

Hi! It's a pleasure to meet you, 96hani! You mentioned that you like reading and anime so I was wondering, what do you like to read/watch besides Detective Conan? I'd love to exchange book and anime/manga recommendations if you're interested Cheerfully, Meri

Hi Kara!! Thank you so much and yes, I do hope to have lots of fun here ^_^ To MeridianGrimm, I have lots of things I like to read from manga to books. I'm really into the shounen-ai/yaoi manga Honto Yajuu, but I'm also a big fan of Tokyo Ghoul and lots of Shoujo mangas like Momoiro Heaven and Beast master ^^ And yes, I would love that! To Nikudounatsumi, haha, doesn't that sound like pretty much everyone here? ;D My native language is actually Dutch

Haha, it's 'hallo' ^_^ But you pronounce the 'a' the same as when you say, 'Ah' in a sentence like this; "Ah, so you mean....". I hope that makes sense

Shounen-ai used to be my guilty pleasure, but now I don't feel guilty about it anymore, so it's just a pleasure, haha I love reading (and writing) shounen-ai. Are there any authors/titles you recommend? I'll have to go back through the tag on tenmanga to find my favorites again (*rubs hands together in anticipation*) I haven't gotten around to Tokyo Ghoul yet, but it'll probably end up on my list of things to watch. And if you like shoujo.... have you read Ouran High School Host Club? If you haven't, go read it! It's about Haruhi Fujioka, an honors student who is smart enough to get into a high school for the children of elites. While looking for somewhere to study, Haruhi accidentally encounters the Host Club and reluctantly ends up a member. It's hilarious and sweet and I could talk about it all day. The host club members are all ridiculous in their own way. Also for shoujo, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun has recently made it to my list of favorites. I adore Usotsuki Lily too, though I'm a couple chapters behind. What do you think of the supernatural genre? I like a lot of weird, fantasy stuff.

Detective is also pronounced the same XD except the first 'e' in the first syllable sounds more like your version of 'a'. Some basic words and sentences would be; Yes = ja (which was really confusing with the japanese version of no because it sounds really alike XD) no = nee (again the 'ee' is pronounced like your version of 'a') Goodbye = tot ziens goodmorning = goedemorgen (I think it's pretty difficult for english people to pronounce this as our 'g' is completely different, but I can't think of a good example to explain it. So I suggest you look up an example on google translate and listen to it ^^ good afternoon = goedemiddag good evening = goedenavond Hello, my name is ... = hallo, mijn naam is ... I am ... years old = ik ben ... jaar oud. My favorite hobbies are ... = Mijn favoriete hobby's zijn ... reading = lezen writing = schrijven drawing = tekenen girl = meisje boy = jongen 1 = één (a pronounciation) 2 = twee (again a pronounciation) 3 = drie (ie is pronounced the same as your 'ee' in the word three) 4 = vier (see explanation above) 5 = vijf ('ij' is pronounced the same as 'ei' in the german word nein, I hope you heard that one somewhere ^^; I see it pass by on the internet quite a lot) 6 = zes (the 'e' here is pronounced short like the e in "Eh?") 7 = zeven (first 'e' is pronounced as 'a' the rest is the same) 8 = acht (short 'a' and that stupid unexplainable g pronounciation ^^ 9 = negen (the same as 7) 10 = tien (look at 3)

I adore Usotsuki Lily too, though I'm a couple chapters behind. What do you think of the supernatural genre? I like a lot of weird, fantasy stuff. Yay~! Another honto yajuu fan!! Haha, same here, I'm not so embarrassed about it anymore XD Well, Yamamoto Kotetsuko - the mangaka of Honto Yajuu - also made Sukitte Iwassete? I thought it was really cute and sweet. It's a shame it was so short, but there's also a crossover between Sukitte and Honto Yajuu, that one was really funny I have two other manga that are a little smuttier than Honto Yajuu though The first one is Finder (or You're my loveprize in viewfinder). That one is kinda really, really smutty, but funny and sweet either way They also made a motion video of the first chapter! The other one is Ten count, it's about a secretary of some big shot company who is a Mysophobic. One day he meets this psychiatrist who immediately realizes his condition and helps him treat it. Of course, they fall in love, but it's pretty difficult to do "things" with someone who is Mysophobic so I think you can guess how that goes Tokyo Ghoul is really good! In the first few episodes I was like 'meh, it's weird', but eventually got over it. The last episode was amazing and left us with a big cliff hanger, so I seriously hope they're going to continue it xddd I'm reading the manga now because I didn't want to wait for the next season ;D I've seen the anime ^^ It was really cute indeed, but at that time I also started watching Kaichou wa maid-sama (also Shoujo), which pulled all of my attention away from it X33 I'm going to have to finish it one of these days though I haven't heard about those, but they sound really cute, especially the later I'm pretty much like Ran when it comes down to the supernatural XD Deadly afraid of it, but for some reason it also draws me in. I watched Ghost Hunt a few years ago, twice on my own and then again with a Swiss friend of mine XD It's really cute and exciting at the same time! But I really like the fantasy stuff, yes I think it reflects a lot in my stories that I like supernatural explanations a lot more ^^; (mostly because they're easier to come up with ). Have you watched 07-ghost? It's both a really funny and sad anime at the same time TToTT and there's quite a lot of action scenes too ^^
