Okay, so one of my fics that's currently on the back burner is mostly there because I don't know how to write Aoko in it, but I really want her in it as I want to write a confession scene and no one can stop me.
To elaborate: I need to figure out what Aoko values most, whether it's a certain type of memory or an item or whatever, then write her without that thing. If any of you guys have played TWEWY, you might know what I'm going for here. I've already got Kaito figured out, but I can't get inside Aoko's head quite as well.
Any help is appreciated.

Aoko always strikes me as jolly but lonely/alarmingly prone to loneliness. Whenever I write her, I almost always make sure she doesn't feel that way. That's exactly why I interpret her relationship with Kaito as something she'd have a difficult time without. She may be childish at times but she's adorable that way, maybe sometimes it's because she only want what's best for the people around her (especially her dad and Kaito). As for a memory, it's definitely the clock tower incident. Kaito went out of the way to save it as KID, all the while feigning indifference, cause it's important to the both of them. (Note: I don't know what TWEWY is. Also I mostly visit the forum via cellphone so I'm sorry if I haven't properly greeted you yet. Same with the other new members... I'm sorry.)

No worries on the greeting bit. And TWEWY is a video game that was on the DS and has been ported to smart devices. Some of the characters showed up in Kingdom Hearts Dream Dropbox Distance. The game takes place in Shibuya, which makes it easy to stick DC/MK characters into firing range. Spoilers: all the main characters in TWEWY are dead and a fair number are playing for a second chance at life.Things canonly taken from characters include: another character's memories of them, a character's entire memories outside of his name, a character's appearance (she was changed to look like the friend she admired), and presumably a character's hopes and dreams for the future. I probably should have elaborated more in the original post, but that's what I get for doing stuff late at night. I'll definitely keep your suggestion in mind though. It's certainly easier for me to write than some of the suggestions I've gotten over Skype.

Oh! Is that what it's called? I've played Dream Drop Distance. Is that where Sakuraba Neku and his friends were from? Yeah? It has an interesting premise. I'd like to play that game someday...

TWEWY is short for The World Ends with You. But yeah, that's where Shiki and Rhyme and Beat and Josh and Neku come from. I heard that some of the other characters showed up as people you could battle against in that World, but only as names, and I never played that part of the game enough to notice.
I do recommend the game though. It's fun, if a bit hard to track down. The port has a new character that run the cash shop, and the full versions of all the songs are on there plus a couple new ones, but I don't like the credits song as much. Honestly, even if you don't play it, I recommend tracking down the music on youtube as its fun to listen to. Though if you played DDD, you've probably heard the remixes of a couple of them.
Just don't try to find fanfiction for it being crossed over with DC/MK stuff, as I've only found three, and they all treat Shibuya like it's not part of Tokyo.
