NaNoWriMo is an annual internet-based creative writing project that takes place during the month of November. NaNoWriMo challenges participants to write 50,000 words of a new novel from November 1st until the deadline at 11:59PM on November 30th. The goal of NaNoWriMo is to get people writing and keep them motivated throughout the process. To ensure this, the website provides participants with tips for writer's block, local places writers participating in NaNoWriMo are meeting, and an online community of support. The idea is to focus on completion instead of perfection. NaNoWriMo focuses on the length of a work rather than the quality, encouraging writers to finish their first draft so that it can later be edited at the author's discretion. -- WikipediaWhether you want to write a DCMK based fanfiction, another fandom fanfiction, or an original novel, we encourage everyone to considering taking part in NaNoWriMo this November! Let us know if you plan to try this even out! Camp NaNoWriMo is a more open-ended version of our original November event. We have Camp sessions in both April and July, and we welcome word-count goals between 10,000 and 1,000,000. In addition, writers may attempt non-novel projects. Camp is a creative retreat for whatever you’re working on! Tell us your word count goal for Camp NaNoWriMo and let us help encourage you to reach that goal! Shoot for 50,000 words but as long as you hit 10,000, you've succeeded!

I don't know if I have it in me to come up with something new for this, I might just actually get back to writing my ongoing story, Mystery of the Meitantei. One of these years I'd like to tackle an original fiction but I don't have an idea yet.
I think we should maybe try to do that group fanfic idea that was brought up awhile ago. Now that we have a good number of members it might just work. For this we were thinking of writing a story in which participants take turns writing parts of the story and just continue off from where the last person ended.
Is anyone up for this yet?

Oh man, I have so many things to write that I wouldn't even consider this til my three already-posted fanfictions have finally ended.
Yet even as I say this, I'm completely up for that, Crimson ^_^ Does there have to be a limit to how long the extension of the story is?

I almost forgot about this... Hahaha, never did it, will be a fun experience. But as you Crimson, I think I´ll just continue my fanfic... Collage is taking too much time and I missed two deadlines of my detective conan fic... No new projects until I finish Break it All and Witch in the sea, a HPxOP crossover XD
I´m up for it! XD I am up for new projects.. (I am aware what I said earlier... and you may ignore it XD)

So you're saying no to the NaNoWriMo but yes to the group fic? We don't have to restrict the group fic to November either. It might need a bit longer than just a month anyway.

I have this sudden urge to have a character in my NaNoWriMo to be named Sharon, and her partner/creature thing is going to be named Vermouth because "when she first appeared, she threw me into a case full of alcohol and Vermouth spilled all over the place"
A case. I'm trying to be punny and failing. XD

This sounds like a ton of fun, but, like everyone else, I've got too many unfinished projects as it is that I'm trying to juggle. I think my readers really will lynch me if I don't get updates out in a timely fashion. Maybe I'll just concentrate on writing a little every day.
