I think because no one posted their ideas like they usually do, but we always have one contest starting at the beginning of the month and one in the middle, so...
Is anyone writing anything for this? I'm not. They have me working overtime every day on this big project, so I have one hour less free time each day than I used to. x.x Thus why I haven't been on much lately. I'm dead tired.

The contests always follow one after the other, and I pin them to the top of the board so that they're impossible to miss. :/ Also, the deadline is always posted up in the newsfeed. Do people look at the newsfeed? More than once I've heard that people missed things, and I'm not understanding how that is possible. What could I do to make things more visible? Is there any way that I could improve or is it that individuals just aren't looking at the places where the information is? I want to make sure that we're organizing things in the best way possible, so if anyone has any feedback, that would be great.
I honestly think this time it was that no one was interested in or had ideas for this prompt or something like that, so no one posted in the thread, so it didn't get any attention. It would have been more noticeable if there had been activity in the thread and thus yellow exclamation points.

I think the problem is people don't actually look at the boards; they just look at the yellow exclamation points, so if someone posts in two threads on the same sub-board, only the later one gets read. And I can't really speak for anyone but myself, but it seems sort of overwhelming trying to keep up with so many different contests. With two short-story contests running per month and now the ten thousand word contest, it just a lot (especially for those of us who write original stuff as well.) I know if I keep trying to write for all of them I'm gonna burn myself out pretty quickly. That said, I do intend to try... Seems like if even I'm not interested in this one, I shouldn't have picked the prompt. Burnout, though... Eh.

you don't have to do all of them! D: I'm actually super impressed by all the people who've consistently participated in all these contests - I can't scrape anything together fast enough, usually. you can try doing whichever one seems most interesting to you and after that's done, check up on what themes are going now, and pick one from those?

...I didn't notice this one until today and meh, it won't be the first time I had to manage ~5K in less than 24 hours. Does it need to be up before the 7th or can it go live on the 7th?

The way it's worked in the past is it's due on midnight of the seventh, according to the clock at the top of the page. So, tomorrow then.

Thank you, I think I can manage that then. This will be the first time I've participated in one of these contests, so I'm going to be pretty happy if I manage an entry, regardless of how it does.

Sadly, I don't think we're going to have three entries. :c Still, participation is good. Any opportunity to write and have people look over your work and give you feedback is good, regardless of if we have a contest or not. I know for sure that I'm not posting anything for this one. :/ The theme just didn't click with me. Maybe I'll get Memories and Once Upon A Time done. I've been working a lot on my original stuff lately. I really want to have a novel ready to try to publish by the end of the year, so...fanfiction has kind of been on my back burner the past month and counting.

Soooo...I didn't make it. Today was just too busy, but I believe I can finish tonight. I'll finish up and start the voting tomorrow night because I think you guys would rather have me finish so we can have a real contest rather than just calling it now on account of not having enough entries. Sorryz. I'm at 2,500 right now, though, so it shouldn't take me too much longer.
