Track 4- Nakamori Aoko and Kuroba Kaito singing This is adorable. It’s very upbeat and yeah plain adorable. That’s really all I have to say. Aoko’s singing voice is very cute. Kaito also sings in a very dorky but nice way. They’re singing about their relationship (I think about being childhood friends, Kaito hiding something from her and Kaito telling her not to worry) There’s a lot of talk about promises and forgiving. A really nice duet. I demand we have ShinRan one soon! (3:33)
Hold on though!! No matter how awesome a ShinRan one would be, Shinichi apparently can't sing! It wouldn't work. *sigh* Life is unfair.

First of all : that character pallet CD is simply awesome! Kappei Yamaguchi is a genius and every time I hear the CD and Kaito starts talking at the beginning about how he sprinkled magic over this music to make you happy I can't stop smiling. When the CD was released I happened to work in Tokyo and was able to buy the CD in Shinjuku, which included a Q&A Event with Kappei Yamaguchi on the following weekend. He and the event host talked about every song on the CD and I'll just write down a few things I can remember. Gosho Aoyama looked over the lyrics and even changed a few things so everything is basically canon. When Kappei Yamaguchi and Mamo-chan were recording "It's a showtime!" they noticed that their voices actually sounded quite similar and had difficulties themselves to distinguish each other's voices. Also, Kappei Yamaguchi kept calling Mamo-chan Mamo-chan, which I found absolutely adorable. He thought Aoko's song was the cutest thing ever. Especially that "yurusanai kara" part at the end. When asked about Akako's song he told the host that he felt so sorry for her because her song came after Aoko's super cute song. He thought it was kind a shame since her song and singing are really cool and was afraid that people wouldn't pay that much attention to her song. When it was announced that they were doing a character song pallet and got the list with the songs Kappei read that he'd sing a duet between Kaito and Kid and was like "eh? EEEEEEH?!" and was really worried about how to pull this off. Furthermore, is was really self-conscious about himself singing a ballade but eventually it turned out surprisingly good. One of the fans asked how he changes between Kid's and Kaito's voice to which he replied that he didn't really know. He tried explaining it though, by saying that Kid was more smooth and cool while Kaito showed more emotion. He was talking for one hour, but there isn't much more I remember right now. If anything else comes to my mind I'll add it right away. The following information isn't related to the Character Pallet CD but to the drama CD which was released a few years ago. AFter the 30-minute long drama (I think it is somewhere on youtube, if you haven't heard it yet) the cast is just chatting for a little bit and each cast member is asked what kind of story they'd like to record. Kappei Yamaguchi said that he'd like to have Kaito and Shinichi to sit in a room, just the two of them. (Which I absolutely support!)
