*Wiggles in excitement* Nope. You're good. All is well. I love how you totally freak out when you're so good, Quincy. That's just like what I do! ^o^ Except I still don't believe my writing's as good as you people would have me believe it is. XD Keep up the good work!

*awkward laughter* ahehehe :">
yeah, I tend to go paramode and my high-strungyness (LOLWHAT? XD) comes out when it comes to drawings, teehee... Even now more than ever cos this is a really ambitious project... :3
Whilst I figure out which color goes where, I'm trying to find more ways to make it odd, gothic and chic-type... *chants dark, rich colors and thinking of ways to fix that "shadowy place WTHISTHAT"* @_@

Quincy, dear, chill. You've got this. I don't think there's really much you need to do to make it look darker. I think it's all in the colors now. Maybe in the background have thorny rose bushes or a creepy forest of bare, dead trees, a pale full moon, dark inky sky with little pinpoints of starlight. Though, there's not a whole lot of room for a background, is there?
Well, those are my ideas, anyway. I think you'll do fine. Ganbare!

Oh, but kind of a mulberry shade of burgundy, so it's kind of got a bit of purple in it but is closer to a deep, rich red than purple. Does that make sense? ^.^;

OH, also, I need to know the chair color too. I was originally going for red, but you said tablecloth will be mulberry-burgundy colored so I'm not half sure if it still looks okay or if the colors are clashing. I'll check... Uhm, also *awkward laughter* I know you told me beforehand that Mad Hatter's clothes will be in the shade of mahogany but... It's coming up more orangey than brown. I'm not sure anymore. I think I'm a bit color blind in the warm color spectrum LOLWAT? XD I used this fan art by DA user rorozoro as a reference. Also I'm experimenting with brushes and needless to say I fail at it... and I'm not gonna stop working on this until I'm satisfied with the result.

Okays (well, not really but you get it), here's what I have so far... Normally I don't do this, showing people unfinished artworks, but I'd like you awesome forum people to see my progress so far. As you can see I still have blank spaces to fill, but in fear of making it look all colorful and inevitably going too far from the initial gothic-ish, adult-y look, I decided to think about it more and save it for later. Also I think I still want to experiment with shadows. I'm quite new with digital art (which BTW is super fun) and am experimenting with brushes, so please bear with me. Mikauzoran-chan!~ *pokes* Still not half done yet and it's quite a mess (I'll do something about those flowers later. I remember you saying there's supposed to be thorns. I tried and I kind of liked the flowers better but I'm not sure anymore if it still fits with The Mock Turtle and the Griffin's theme... which is also why I want to show you this). Like I said this is a very ambitious project and I like it to work, even though half the time I don't know what I'm doing.

It's looking great! Always loved Kaito's huge grin xD Oh, shadows... so tough TT_TT yet you're doing pretty good!
Since you're new to the brushes thing here's something I loved: you can search on deviantart more brushes to suit your drawings, download them and add them on your photoshop. Ex: 'cloud brushes'/'blood brushes'/... lol even thorn brushes I'm betting. Some of them you pay for them but lots of them are free and there's a bit of variety to choose from. To add them with the rest of your brushes there's a VERY SMALL triangle next to the size brush, right to it with a lot of options one of them which works for loading brushes (better look for a tutorial if you're interested, it's always best to see where to go)
Also, remember in Photoshop there are shortcuts for EVERYTHING if you like to use them!In my case for the brushes size and hardness it's ' ¡ ? ¿

Oh my gosh! Quincy, it's looking great! I especially love how the background turned out! I like the dark pallet of color's you're using to give it a dark, gothic feel. Seriously, you're doing a great job. I don't really have much to add. Don't worry so much about getting it "right". You're a fabulous artist, and you should just go with your gut. I'm so excited for this! ^o^ You rock!

But yeah, shadows are tough. I often talk aloud a lot about "light sources here and there, more illuminated, softer lighting here and another brighter light source here and overlapping shadows and stuff until I confuse myself, LOL. I tried thorns, but I liked how the flowers turned out that I decided I like the background with flowers instead of thorns like Mikau suggested. I'm so thrilled to know it did not disappoint despite my not using the thorns. xD So, is it ALT or CTRL? I'm still kinda confused so I rely on my touch pad a lot. Also, kudos to internet people with awesome brushes!!! >o<\m/

I'm so excited for this! ^o^ You rock! OHYAYS! HOMIGOSH half the time I was paramode-ing so much, teehee. I was worrying the hearts ruined the whole thing, or the cake was too pastel-y, or the shadows are not in the right place, or that instead of using thorns I used flowers and it ruined the whole look, or that it's even impossible for stars to be that visible during the full moon... Those and about a hundred more stuff from gothic-adult-y to possibly legal stuff concerning copy-pasting mulberry-burgundy-shade satin directly from Google images (yeah I cheated a little, even the couch has white satin texture for its base) xDD Yeah, I agree. Gut's the way to go. I just have to make sure all the icky stuff stays inside, ne? heheh. Just a little more adjustments here and there and this'll be ready for posting to DA
