Haha...haha...ha. I'll take a look at it tomorrow.
But man that new trailer is intense. *Seriously crosses fingers for bootlegged copy posted online soon after the release but then feels like a bad person but wants to see the movie so bad she doesn't care*

Thank you Mikau~ Tch, I think the "Private Eye in the Distant Sea" team just has a thing for putting Ran towards the brink of death.

You're welcome. I'll write up a summary of the Story page in a bit. Mummsie wants me to vacuum the couches from where my children have gotten fur on them. ^.^;

All of them like to put either Ran or Conan in a life-threatening situation XD and bombs. And guns. It's like a checklist.

Okay, so the gist of the story page is a lot like what I already translated on that movie poster before where the watermark was covering up stuff.
Basically, "Sunflower" a Van Gogh Masterpiece thought to have been lost in a fire resurfaces at a New York auction house. Jirokichi, of course, wants to add it to his collection. He calls in specialists called "The Seven Samurai" to defend it, but Kid appears. As the hall erupts in confusion, Kudo Shinichi shows up. The next day on the plane carrying "Sunflower" back to Japan, the "White Shadow" appears for another assault.
They seem to be putting a lot of emphasis on perceptions, like what's real and what's illusion. Should be interesting.

Real and illusion? CLEARLY Spider is involved *Shot for endless whining and wishing of closure for Spider*

They might as well. That's really the only way that any of this makes sense. Only, you have to wonder what it would do to Kaito once he comes to and realizes he was used to hurt people. Though usually in the Magic Kaito universe, Kaito just shrugs really heavy stuff like that off like in the Nightmare arc and the stuff that happened with Corbeau. It's a little disappointing and unrealistic that Kaito doesn't really seem to dwell on stuff like that properly.
But what I was going to say before I distracted myself was that they might actually put Spider in there. I mean, if the answer to Hakase's riddle is 'spider', that might be indicative of something. Or it could just be them poking us while we growl at them like hungry tigers.

I think you or someone pointed it out before, but that's mostly because the Magic Kaito manga tries to be very humorous and/or lighthearted, so they can't dwell on the more depressing and serious things. That being said, I think a sad Kaito would make me curl up in a ball and cry, and I want it to happen.
yeah - it's either a poke or actually something to do with the movie, but what are the chances of the latter? the movies and specials like to troll us a lot (see the most recent one for instance), especially with perception. I'm interested in the whole illusion vs reality thing, though!

I want to see it even more now! And I really hope Spider'll be in it, but really, how often do MK things carry into DC movies?

I don't know if I've harped on here about the fact that the really emotional, dramatic moments in MK are always thrown away because of the genre (I mean, it's in a shounen magazine), but I have definitely ranted before about how it doesn't treat those really critical emotional scenes realistically. That's why it's a good thing fanfiction writers like us exist. ^.~

seeing Snake would be cool, but I feel like it's really unlikely :/ oh well, it's bound to be interesting anyhow XD
very true XD actually, that reminds me of something on tumblr that went something along the lines of "fanfiction - because the story isn't over until we say it is"
